If you want help from a college or university, admissions tutors welcome enquiries from prospective students. Institutions also have student support services with advisers who can help prospective students make the right decision about course options.

Also take advantage of open days so that you can look round, ask questions and get a feel of what it will be like to study at different colleges or universities.

National Careers Service

The National Careers Service provides careers information through their website; you can also contact an adviser to help you make course and career decisions.

UCAS

UCAS is the central body responsible for managing applications to higher education courses in the UK. Not only does UCAS process applications for full-time higher education courses, it also helps students find the right courses at various levels.

Prospects

Graduate Prospects is the UK’s main provider of information and advice for students and graduates. The website provides extensive information on graduate careers, work experience, job opportunities, applying to university etc.

National Apprenticeship Service

Through GOV.UK, the National Apprenticeship Service has lots of information about apprenticeships and a search facility to help you find the right programme.
