Foundation Degrees

Foundation degrees are designed to improve and develop the nation's skills and education post-18 and have been well received by employers, who consider them to be a valuable qualification.

All of our foundation degrees have been developed to provide a flexible route into and through higher education and combine both academic and practical, work-based, learning activities.

They may be studied either on a two-year, full-time basis or part-time over four years and are often delivered in partnership between the RAU and local further education colleges. Skills improvement is central to the courses and further progression to one of our top-up honours degree courses is available for successful students who wish to take their studies further.
